Account & Data Deletion
You can ask us to close your Felicet Partner or Felicet Business account and delete the personal data held about you. This page explains how to ask, what gets deleted, and what we are required to keep.
How to request deletion
Email admin@felicet.com with the subject line “Delete my account”. Accounts are identified by mobile number, not by email, so the mobile number matters more than which address you write from.
Please include:
- the registered mobile number on the account;
- which app the account is for — Partner or Business;
- whether you want the whole account deleted, or only specific data removed (say which).
We verify that the request really comes from the account holder before we act on it, usually by sending a one-time password to the registered mobile number. This protects your account from being deleted by someone else.
What happens next
- Within 7 days— we acknowledge your request and verify who you are.
- Within 30 daysof verification — the account is closed and personal data is deleted or anonymised, apart from anything listed under “What we have to keep” below.
- Backups— copies in encrypted backups are overwritten on our normal backup cycle, within 90 days of deletion.
We will email you to confirm when the deletion is done. Deletion is permanent: a deleted account and its history cannot be restored.
What is deleted
- your profile — name, mobile number, photograph, role, and business or address details;
- your face reference photograph, so no further face comparison is possible, and any check-in selfies or workplace photographs still held;
- skill assessment video and audio recordings;
- your saved payout details — bank account, IFSC and UPI ID;
- attendance, check-in and location records logged against your account, unless a business needs them as a record of work done, or the law requires them to be kept;
- support messages, complaints and in-app chat history;
- device identifiers and notification tokens;
- your access to the account, which is closed and cannot be signed into again.
Identity verification records such as PAN, Aadhaar and GST details are retained where tax or anti-fraud law requires it, as set out below, and are otherwise deleted.
If you used the billing features, details you recorded about your own customers are deleted with your account. Export anything you need first.
What we have to keep
Some records cannot be deleted on request, because the law requires us to keep them or because they are needed to settle something that is still open. We keep only what is necessary, and we stop using it for anything else:
| Record | Why we keep it | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Invoices, payment and wage records, tax records | Required under Indian tax and accounting law | Up to 8 years |
| Records relating to an unresolved dispute, claim or investigation | To establish, exercise or defend legal claims | Until the matter is closed |
| Record that an account was deleted, and the mobile number in hashed form | To honour the deletion and prevent re-registration abuse | Ongoing |
| Aggregated or anonymised statistics | Cannot identify you, so no longer personal data | Ongoing |
Before you delete
- Settle anything outstanding. Deleting an account does not cancel amounts you owe or are owed, and closing it makes the history harder to check.
- Download or note anything you need, such as wage entries, wallet history or billing records.
- Removing the app from your phone does not delete your account. You need to send the request above.
- If your account was created for you by a business, that business may still hold its own records about your work. Contact them directly for those.
