Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Felicet Technologies Private Limited collects through the Felicet Partner and Felicet Business mobile applications, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It is written to meet India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). Your use of the apps is also governed by our Terms & Conditions.
1. Who we are
Felicet Technologies Private Limited, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, is the data fiduciary for personal data processed through the apps. Reach us about privacy at admin@felicet.com.
Felicet Partner is for service partners and their workers. Felicet Business is for businesses that engage them. The two apps collect different data, and this policy says which app each item applies to.
Where a business uses the apps to manage its own workers, that business also decides how those work records are used and is responsible for its own handling of them.
2. What we collect
| Category | What it includes | App |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Mobile number (sign-in is by one-time password — there is no password), preferred language, role or industry, and the business or partner you are linked to | Both |
| Identity and verification (KYC) | Full name, date of birth, PAN number, Aadhaar number (verified by one-time password sent by the issuing authority), and, for businesses, GSTIN, business name, owner name, business address and incorporation date | Both |
| Statutory details | ESI/ESIC number and PF UAN, where you provide them | Partner |
| Photograph and face data | Profile photograph, check-in selfies and workplace photographs, used for face verification — see section 4 | Partner (a business sees these when approving attendance) |
| Assessment recordings | Video with audio recorded during a skill assessment — see section 6 | Partner |
| Location | Coordinates at check-in and while a shift is running, a home or base location you pin, and a business’s workplace location — see section 5 | Both |
| Work records | Job invites and responses, shifts, trials, attendance, corrections, leave requests, approvals, and ratings and reviews given or received | Both |
| Payment details | Bank account number and IFSC, or UPI ID, for payouts; wallet balances, wages, withdrawals, top-ups, settlements and payment references | Both (UPI ID: partner only) |
| Messages you send | Complaints, leave and correction reasons, support chat messages, and messages to the in-app assistant | Both |
| Device and technical data | Device model, operating system, app version, notification token or device key, and error logs | Both |
We do not read your contacts, call logs or SMS messages. On Android, a one-time password can be filled in automatically only if you tap to allow it for that single message. We never ask for your card number, PIN, UPI PIN or bank password, and no one from Felicet will ask you for them.
3. Device permissions
Your device asks before granting these. You can withdraw any of them later in your device settings; only the feature that needs the permission stops working.
- Location— to confirm a check-in happens at the workplace, and to record shift activity. The partner app also asks separately for location while the app is in the background, at the moment a shift starts.
- Camera— for check-in selfies, workplace photographs, documents, and skill assessment recordings.
- Photos and media— when you choose an existing image to upload.
- Microphone— only while recording a skill assessment.
- Notifications— for job invites, approvals and payment alerts.
4. Face verification
Face data is sensitive, so it is treated separately. In the partner app, your profile photograph is the reference image, and each check-in selfie is compared against it by an automated face-matching service to confirm that the person checking in is you.
- Face verification runs only with your consent. You can turn it off at any time from your profile, and turning it off stops future comparisons.
- The comparison is used to accept or query an attendance record. We do not use your face data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
- The business you are working with can see your check-in selfie and workplace photograph in order to approve the day, and is shown your old and new profile photographs when you change one during an engagement.
- Check-in selfies and workplace photographs are deleted once the attendance they support has been reviewed.
5. Location during shifts
- At check-in— your location is recorded and checked against the workplace. If you are outside the expected area, you are asked to explain, and that explanation is stored with the record.
- During a shift— the partner app records location periodically so attendance can be evidenced, and can check you out automatically if you leave the workplace. While this is running, your device shows an ongoing notification so it is never hidden from you.
- Consent— shift tracking is asked for separately and recorded. Withdrawing it stops tracking immediately.
- Outside shifts— no tracking runs. Location is not collected when you are not checked in, except the one-time home or workplace location you pin yourself.
- Address lookup— to turn coordinates into an address, the partner app sends the coordinates to the OpenStreetMap Nominatim service; the business app does this through our own servers.
6. Skill assessment recordings
If you take a skill assessment in the partner app, video and audio of your answers is recorded and uploaded so your skills can be assessed. This happens only after you give separate consent for the recording. If you withdraw that consent, the recording is deleted.
7. Why we use it and our legal basis
| Purpose | Basis |
|---|---|
| Creating your account and signing you in by one-time password | Consent; performance of our terms with you |
| Running the service — job invites, attendance, approvals, payouts and reconciliation | Performance of our terms with you |
| Verifying identity (PAN, Aadhaar, GST) and face verification at check-in | Consent; preventing impersonation and payment fraud |
| Recording location to evidence attendance | Consent, given separately for shift tracking |
| Paying you, and keeping wage, wallet and tax records | Legal obligation; performance of our terms |
| Support, complaints and in-app messaging | Performance of our terms |
| Security, fraud detection and fixing faults | Our legitimate use in keeping the service safe and working |
We do not sell personal data, we do not use it for third-party advertising, and the apps contain no advertising or analytics trackers.
9. How long we keep it
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Account and profile | While your account is open; then deleted or anonymised on closure |
| Check-in selfies and workplace photographs | Until the attendance they support has been reviewed, then deleted |
| Skill assessment recordings | Until the assessment is complete, or you withdraw consent |
| Attendance, shift and location records | As long as needed as a record of the work and any related claim |
| KYC, payment, wage and tax records | Up to 8 years, as Indian tax and accounting law requires |
| Support messages and complaints | Up to 3 years after the matter is closed |
| Technical and error logs | Normally up to 12 months |
Closing your account is covered on the account and data deletion page.
10. How we protect it
Data is sent over encrypted connections and held on access-controlled servers. Access is limited to people who need it to run the service. Sign-in uses one-time passwords rather than stored passwords, and sessions on your device are held in the app’s private storage — keep your device locked and do not share it.
No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board as the DPDP Act requires.
11. Your rights and choices
Under the DPDP Act you can ask us to:
- confirm what we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct or complete data that is wrong or out of date;
- erase your data and close your account;
- withdraw a consent — face verification and shift location tracking can be switched off in the app, and device permissions in your device settings;
- nominate someone to exercise your rights if you die or cannot act for yourself;
- have a grievance addressed, as set out in section 16.
Write to admin@felicet.com with your registered mobile number. We verify who you are, usually by a one-time password to that number, and respond within 30days. Some data cannot be erased on request — for example records we must keep by law, or attendance a business needs as evidence of work done.
12. Your own customers’ data
The billing and point-of-sale features let you record details about your own customers, such as name, mobile number, visits and spend. That data is yours: you decide what to collect and how to use it, including any marketing you send. You are responsible for having a lawful basis for it, for telling your customers what you do with it, and for handling their requests. We store and process it on your behalf so the features work.
13. Children
The apps are for adults at work and are not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect a child’s data. If you believe a child has given us data, write to admin@felicet.com and we will delete it.
14. Where data is stored
Personal data is processed in India. Some providers we rely on — including notification, mapping, face-matching and address-lookup services — may process limited data on servers outside India. Where that happens we require appropriate contractual protections and send only what the service needs.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and we will give notice in the apps before a material change takes effect.
16. Contact and grievances
For any privacy question, or to complain about how we have handled your data, contact our grievance officer:
